Images are supplied to Mott MacDonald and reproduced by Mott MacDonald on its website and iPhone application with the permission of the HA on behalf of the Secretary of State acting under delegated licensing authority from the Controller of Her Majesty's Stationary Office (HMSO).

Images may be reproduced free of charge in any format or medium provided they are reproduced for research private study or internal circulation within an organisation subject to the material being reproduced accurately and not used in a misleading context.

Images may only be reused or copied to others under Licence with the permission of the HA on behalf of the Secretary of State acting under delegated licensing authority from the Controller of Her Majesty's Stationary Office (HMSO) and that requests to reuse the images under Licence must be directed to the appropriate Highways Agency's officer as follows: Head of Traffic Information Policy, Highways Agency, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL.

The background and objectives of the provision of HA images on this website are as follows:

a) test and evaluate the performance of the Highways Agency's digital traffic image distribution technology and systems and their interface with Mott MacDonald's technology and systems
b) quantify the risks involved in publishing and broadcasting the images on Mott MacDonald's traffic information service(s) taking into account the editorial control provided by the Video Information Highway technology and the User's editorial control procedures
c) develop risk mitigation strategies in response to risks identified
d) assess the impact on Mott MacDonald's traffic information service(s) of the images being unavailable to Mott MacDonald.
e) assess both the professional value of the images in supporting Mott MacDonald's public service objectives in providing traffic information service(s) and the wider market interest
f) assess the value of distributing the images to the public as a contribution to better journey planning.

The images must not be used whilst driving and informing users that in law a person may be regarded as driving a vehicle whilst the engine is running and the vehicle is stationary.
